    us in our Plague Songs outfits in youth hostel  rat in Hyde Park pumpkins large and small in Covent Garden

lots of places - lots of things . . . . photos above show a last minute trip to London via pain of a 13hour megabus journey (the best part of which was a weird insomnia felt and photographing the road and lights giving fun effects - i must post those) 

the last minute trip was in order to go to Plague Songs at the Barbican - artists selected to compose a Plague themed song for a film/and the event - very good genre crossover as well as music/art crossover . . . 

. . . the people we wanted to see do their songs were > Imogen Heap - Patrick Wolf - Rufus Wainwrignt and June Tabor.............the whole thing was outstanding and suprise star was Damon Albarn at the end - bit indifferent about him i suppose but his song was very good and worked great with kids choir........Imogen had an astounding song - voice was incredible and a beautiful unsusal musical prong plucky thing which sounded great - she also sang with Rufus which was lovely > Patrick did a wonderful theatrical kind of crossover into performance art and looked like a lost sailor who had started to turn into a Mer-person........and there was fake blood at the end too .......and June Tabor was utterly haunting and brilliant

there were those three weddings in September ...........and my awesome trip to Dunfermline and we had to go to Paris ..........and i have loads of new trinket designs so am going to have to upload photos of all of these things too 

last week we went to visit Gemma & Damien in Glasgow and go see Patrick Wolf (again) .. . . for some time now i have been trying (i use that term loosly) to give Patrick this letter i wrote him and some trinkets i make him ..........i'm not that geeky really - i'm amazed i had time to do it being that i don't have time to update this etc and my life is some bizarre whirlwind - i guess i just felt really compelled to do it ........anyway - i handed him bag of said stuff on stage not feeling like hanging round the tour bus in hope of being able to say hi and passing it on . . . . a few days later it occured to me - having not been on the forums ever before that maybe there was a bit with recent gig photos (i wanted to know if he liked the jewellery) low and behold he did ^_^ - he's wearing 3 of my items at once (Giraffe round his neck - key on Aqua chain hanging off waistcoat and yellow glitter key hanging off his shorts

i didn't want to make a big deal about it because that's not why i did it ..........but it did make me happy so i thought there'd be no harm posting it here

lots of Christmas orders and stalls and stuff but i've neglected this for too long - it's been a crazy year

i could have ordered them better but am dying here......too much to  doo 0_o i tried catching up on a bunch of peoples 
journals today but it didn't even go back far enough ....plus i didn't really have time to read them all

so i really do hope everyone is well

anyway.......i think i may do a proper post too........but for now here is the new stuff 

i have no holiday money so if anyone fancies buying anything in the next couple of days that would be lovely :D

......today was a busy day especially after staying up too late and then realising i could't fit in enough sleep in the window of time before i needed to get up.......

.......so off i skipped into town with a list of errands all for 

impatientboy i admit i haven't done that much work for him this week so fair enough i carry out the errands........though i had to be at Limousine Bull (in Torry) to invigilate the exhibition by 12noon

*gets into town at 11.35.........dash down crown street to shoe place with Chris's shoes.......across to Central Library to return Chris's hideously late Library cds........dash down Belmont street to Fopp.....*

now Here's where the shit happens..........

Chris got two cds for learning cover songs for Club Sapphire but one was Adam Ant (and my Mum had a better one already) and the other was Elton John (i suspect that that was unecessary because they play so much Elton John in that place while Chris isn'tplaying - cd may have been uneccessary)

I hate returning cds to Fopp ........they always act like you're a fucking pirate EVEN though they have the whole 'suck it and see' policy......i just don't have money to waste on cds i didn't like and wouldn't listen to.........if i like them i keep them.........so i often don't bother buying there so much........but recently when i've been in i've always been served by the same snotty condecending girl and it didn't help  considering that today all rushed and a little sweaty from the hot sun and rushing around

so i say 'just got a couple of cds to return'.......she says 'sorry what?' as the music is loud and looks at me like a piece of turd
.........i repeat myself and she asks why (you know in that way like you might as well have just shot Bambi.........okay maybe the wrong parrallel but i'm tired..........)  so i say ' My Mum's got them already' which is the short version of the story........they don't want the long one but they still act like your're a criminal with any explanation.........and i'm thinking  *what the fuck? they haven't even been taken out of the cellophane!!!?*........and as she takes them from the bag a little shiney slither also emerges and sits on the counter 0_0 . . . 

it's the torn of edge of a durex wrapper........a nice shiney pinky red and blue durex wrapper slither 0_0

my little claw like hand speeds across the counter and snaches it away........

......and we continue like nothing has happened : /

so i had to phone Chris and tell him what a little bitch he was for sending me on such a contaminated errand :)

it was actually brilliant to just here his own shocked, mortified.....hillarity filled reaction

yes......it IS quite hilarious........

and he did say i could keep the £10 from the return for my troubles.......hehe

but oh god........as if i enjoyed that girls service anyway......i may never be able to go into Fopp again

unless i know i'm getting something i'll deffinitely keep and i can get served by someone in there who is actually pleasant

Chris had another similar story ....hehe......*chuckle*
